Thrust ball bearings have separable components that are interchangeable. This facilitates installation, removal, and maintenance inspection.
Initial Misalignment
Bearings with spherical raceways can accommodate initial misalignment.
Interference Fit
The shaft washer has a ground bore for interference fit.
The housing washer bore is turned and always larger than the shaft washer bore.
